Piedmont Park, established circa 1887, is the city of Atlanta's signature public park. The park is the site of numerous festivals and intramural sports competitions which bring thousands of visitors to the park every year.
Ecos participated in the restoration of the historic Meadow, in the southeastern corner of the park, as well as the layout of the park's popular dog park.
To solve standing water problems the meadow was regraded. Specially developed soil was introduced for improved drainage, and a more resilient species of Bermuda grass was specified for high traffic areas. Ecos also designed a wet meadow and ephemeral stream channel to allow for infiltration of any stormwater runoff.
