The Chattahoochee Greenway is the first segment of a planned continuous greenway and multi-use trail from the north Georgia mountains south to Columbus, Georgia.
Located southwest of Atlanta in the City of Franklin, this one mile segment of the trailway turns along the Chattahoochee River and is a key component of the city's master recreation development plan. Ecos conducted a number of public meetings during the master planning process to ascertain the community's overall vision of the greenway.
The greenway includes alternative footpaths to allow views of wetland areas and native plant communities. Sitting nodes along the trail include interpretive signage detailing significant cultural, historical, and ecological site features, such as existing southeastern riparian plan species.
