Upcoming Events in Atlanta

Spring is an exciting time for conferences in the Atlanta area! Starting in mid-March, Southface Energy Institute’s Greenprints Conference takes place, with Park Pride closing out the month with their 7th annual Parks and Greenspace Conference. In April, the Georgia Planning Association will host their annual spring conference.

The Georgia Planning Association Spring Conference

April 17 – 18, 2008
Holiday Inn, Downtown Decatur

The Georgia Planning Association 2008 Spring Conference will feature two days of professional planning training. This year’s conference includes a social reception, keynote luncheon, special topic training sessions, industry exhibitors, networking and mobile workshops. Visit www.georgiaplanning.org for more details.

Southface Energy Institute Greenprints Conference and Tradeshow

March 13 – 14, 2008
Westin Peachtree Plaza, Downtown Atlanta

Ecos is proud to be involved in the Greenprints Conference again this year. Stop by our tradeshow booth (where we will be discussing our continued involvement with EarthCraft Communities). On Thursday, you can learn about sustainable stormwater solutions at an educational session conducted by Ecos President Kerry Blind, FASLA, LEED AP, or engage in a hands-on Green Communities Charrette facilitated by Ecos Vice President Shannon Kettering, ASLA, AICP. We hope to see you there! Visit www.southface.org for details.

Park Pride 7th Annual Parks and Greenspace Conference

March 31, 2008
Atlanta Botanical Gardens

A conference sponsor for the past three years, Ecos looks forward to another exciting conference on parks and sustainability. The weekend pre-conference events include a placemaking workshop (hosted by Project for Public Spaces), and a parks tour highlighting the importance of urban greenspace. Visit www.parkpride.org for registration and more.
