How Can Ecos Enrich Your Next Project?

At Ecos, we are passionate about what we do, with a zest for learning new techniques and practices that expand our knowledge and capabilities.

Several years ago, Ecos V.P. Alfie Vick completed River Morphology and Natural Channel Design courses taught by Dr. David Rosgen. Recently Ecos associate Élise Cormier complemented her strong background in natural sciences by taking this five-course training series (of which she has completed two so far). The courses focus on a method of watershed and stream restoration based on principles of fluvial geomorphology and natural channel stability. (If you don’t know what fluvial geomorphology is, we’d love to tell you about it!)

In addition to the Rosgen methology training, the Ecos staff holds these certifications:

  • U.S. Green Building Council LEED™ Accredited Professionals
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Licensed Professionals
  • American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA) Licensed Professionals (licensed in 14 states)
  • National Charrette Institute, Charrette Planner Certification
  • Council of Landscape Architecture Review Boards (CLARB) Certification
  • Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission, Level II Certified Design Professionals

We enjoy learning, but even more, we relish the chance to put it into practice! If you are curious about how Ecos’s knowledge (and practical experience) can enhance your next project, give us a call. We’re good at talking things over in plain English, and we promise not to bore you with the esoteric details of fluvial geomorphology!
